Landing Bay Resort has a private swim raft reserved for the use of our guests. The raft is situated directly in front of our cabins. Additionally, the shoreline in front of our cabins is ideal for swimming. The lake bottom in front of the cabins is shallow and has a gentle slope.
Sand Lake Beach is also a nearby swimming alternative. The secluded Sand Lake Beach is located approximately three miles from the resort. The beach is on a small “no motor” lake. Here the entire lake bottom is mostly sand and the water is clear. The beach has three picnic tables, changing rooms as well as rest rooms. Families with children enjoy this beach because it offers a zero depth wading area (perfect for small children) and a swim raft. Due to the small lake size the water often warms faster than on larger lakes. Sand Lake Beach is perfect for an afternoon picnic.
The South Blue Lake Rest Area is another swimming hot spot. This rest area offers swimming, picnic tables, grills and a public restroom. The rest area is accessible via the Bearskin State Nature Trail which only allows foot and bike traffic. The rest area is located approximately two miles from the resort. People enjoy riding bikes, walking and jogging to this swim area.
